SUCCESS STORY: ALI
Ali lost 20Kg in 6 months and improved her health by following a low-fat, whole-foods and plant-based diet. According to her, changing her diet was one of the best decisions of her life.
My name is Ali and I want to tell you my personal experience with the program The Starch Solution from Dr.John McDougall:
In August of 2016 my third child was born. I had a very good pregnancy but I gained a few kilos that I wanted to get rid of. Before finding out about TSS, I decided to simply follow a hypocaloric diet and I also started doing some postpartum exercises. This lasted a month. I felt weak and hungry all the time amd even though I had lost some weight, it was clear to me that this plan was not sustainable long term.
Around mid-October, I was introduced to this way of eating. I decided to give it try without thinking it twice, even though I was inicitially a litte bit sceptic, since we´ve always been taught that carbohydrates make you fat, that olive oil is healthy and so on. Luckily, I went ahead and now I can tell you that was a very wise decision. Actually, one of the best decisions of my whole life.
In less than 6 months I lost 20 kilos, without ever feeling deprived or hungry. I payed attention to my appetite and always ate until I was satisfied, without feeling guilty and enjoying the foods I like the most. I know it sounds too good to be true, but believe me, it is!
The weightloss part sound like a very good incentive, and it is something that a lot of people are looking for at all costs, often even while putting their health at risk. But this way of eating didn´t allow me to only lose weight. My overall health improved, even my character. I think everything is connected. After only two months of following Dr.McDougall´s programm I reversed my chronic anemia, my cholesterol levels dropped and my glucose levels stabilized. Surprising, right? And one more thing: my cellulite began to disappear, as well as the pimples on my face and my skin became very soft, clean and beautiful.
A lot of people ask me whether I exercise, because it is hard to believe that just incredible results could be achived just by changing your eating habits. Adding some exercise will obvioulsy be great. I personally started adding some moderate exercise and increased the intensity progressively. But actually, just walking for like an one hour per day is more than enough to stay active. And the results will still be amazing.
It´s been more than 10 months since I started this lifestyle and I much happier person. My mood has improved and I have more self-esteem and more confidence in myself. I always encourage people to give this way of eating a chance because I know they will be grateful for life.
